Overview

Partnerships to end hunger

Project Bread is committed to preventing and ending hunger in Massachusetts by providing access to affordable, healthy food to those in need today, while also working to eradicate the systemic causes of hunger, through policy, prevention, and partnerships.

We rely on our corporate partners and foundations to help advance this vital work.

We work to break the cycle of hunger by devising, funding, advocating for, and facilitating solutions that drive change at a macro level.

As the only statewide food security organization, we listen and learn, identify needs and opportunities, and connect people, resources, and programs—in ways both tried and new.

We rely on our partners, donors, corporate sponsors, and thousands of engaged citizens who participate each year in The Walk for Hunger, to help advance this vital work.

Cause Marketing Opportunities

Commit a donation for a matching gift day.

  • Matching gift days are an opportunity to support Project Bread in our own fundraising by helping to encourage our audience to make a donation by promising it will be matched. It also allows Project Bread to highlight our partnership with your organization and your commitment to solving hunger and supporting your neighbors without enough to eat.
  • Example: Today only, Sam’s Deli will match donations to Project Bread, up to $10,000!

Donate a percentage of the day’s profits to Project Bread.

  • Both Project Bread and the company can advertise this fundraiser and help to increase customer participation.

  • Example: On April 3rd Bill’s Barbecue will donate 25% of their profits from the day to Project Bread.

Donate money from every order at your company.

  • Designating that some or all of the profits from orders will go to Project Bread. This could look like having a specific “charity” drink or meal, or a item being sold where the profits go to Project Bread.
  • Example: In the months of July and August, $2 from every salad sold goes to Project Bread or For the month of March the proceeds from every red shoe sold will go to Project Bread.

Have an “add donation” option for customers as they check out or pay their bill.

  • This is an easy way to help facilitate donations to Project Bread by promoting it to your customer base.

Project Bread Staff can support in developing these ideas to fit your company, and helping to advertise the fundraiser to our constituents as it is happening.
