Summer Food Rocks, which began in 2014, is an event held in coordination with Congressman Jim McGovern (MA-02), Project Bread, Summer Eats sponsors, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), and various child nutrition stakeholders. The 11th annual Summer Food Rocks Tour is rolling into central Massachusetts! Join us in Greenfield and Orange to celebrate Summer Eats, ensuring that kids and teens have access to healthy meals all summer long.

The tour will begin at an early lunch site at Greenfield High School. This site is sponsored by Greenfield Public Schools and features the rural non-congregate option of weekend meal bundling to ensure kids have food on their table for the weekends.

The tour will then move to the second location at the Ralph C. Mahar Regional School in Orange. Sponsored by Orange Public Schools, this site serves lunch to children and offers free adult meals.

Tour attendees will include Congressman McGovern and staff, Project Bread, Massachusetts Secretary of Education Dr. Patrick Tutwiler, and Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Commissioner Pedro Martinez.

Come celebrate Summer Eats with us!
