Interfaith Mini Walk for Hunger

The annual event, Interfaith Mini Walk for Hunger, will begin at Westwood’s Temple Beth David on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. All are welcome to participate, and need not be a member of a house of faith.

Participants will walk three miles through Westwood neighborhoods and raise money to benefit Project Bread which will:

  • Prevent hunger in the first place.
  • Permanently remove barriers to food access so no one will worry about food.
  • Support a person or family’s ability to easily access food with dignity.

Virtual participation is also available. Members of the larger community are invited to join by registering here. There is no cost to register. You can also donate to support the team's fundraising goal.

Interfaith Walk for Hunger Breaks Fundraising Record in Its 12th Year

Roughly over one hundred local residents and members of houses of worship (and a few of their dogs) met at Westwood’s Temple Beth David on Sunday, October 17, 2021, for the most successful Interfaith Walk for Hunger in the annual event’s twelve year history. Participants raised $13,687, an amount that is almost double what the Walk raised in 2020, announced event co-organizer Dr. Jeff Greenwald.
